So glad to have discovered Francis Hodgson’s missives on photography. Invariably sensible words and interesting thoughts that push my own understanding that little bit further. This post is a good example…

Did you know that fewer than 1% of people convert their Likes, Shares and Retweets into financial support for the creators they follow?

I’m asking my online community to buck that trend.

  1. Francis used to run the Zwemmer Photography Gallery and he was one of the first people to recognize some worth in my work. He was kind, helpful and encouraging, which believe me was extremely rare in the art world of the early 1990’s. His words, advice and encouragement saw me through some times when I nearly gave up. He is such an interesting man with a huge brain and I will ever be grateful to him. PK

    1. Ha. That’s great to hear, Paul.

I’ve only recently stumbled across him (I’m not sure why it’s taken this long) and he clearly has a brain the size of a planet. Something to aspire too…

I love his About Me page too. JL

      1. Welcome, Jack, to francishodgson.com, and thanks for your enthusiastic response. Irregular writings on photography when the mood is upon me. FH
